This is a series of digital illustrations I started to spread awareness for modern conservation and ecological concerns. All images were drawn free hand, taking inspiration from the inter-species relationships and vibrancy found in the natural world right outside our doors.

The purpose of this project was to pair 26 typefaces with complementary images in a visual exploration of color, light, and form. In addition to layout and photography, I printed and bound a physical copy, which was put on public display at the Kohler Art Library in Madison, WI.

I’ve always loved visual storytelling, so naturally, a passion for zines and graphic novels followed. In college, I took several courses taught by reputed cartoonists Captain Action (Jeff Butler, illustrator and comic book artist) and Professor Ratfink (Lynda Barry, author and MacArthur Foundation “Genius” Award Winner).
