

BACKGROUND
Bienvenidos! Destination Mexico & Latin America is Northstar Meeting Group’s leading annual event designed exclusively for Latin American programs. Industry professionals sourcing meetings, experiences, and venues across Mexico are invited to attend each yearโnetworking with colleagues and discovering the charms of the region.
I’ve led the creative direction, design, and marketing for Northstar’s nine destination-specific events since joining the team in 2023. This entails everything from the graphics and newsletters which promote events, to the app layout and on-site signage which actively shape attendee experiences. In 2025, Destination Mexico & Latin America was hosted in stunning Puerto Vallarta, so I set out to spotlight the scenic and diverse features of this destination with a vibrant marketing campaign.

The first step in any effective campaign is to capture the media’s attention and generate interest. I started by crafting a press release and laying out the marketing and design strategy for our biweekly email newsletters, before delving into ads and social media.

DURING THE EVENT
The next phase of the project was preparing the mobile app, and developing the signage and on-site assets required for the event. When digital media takes on its physical form, it takes on a life of its own.
